How long does a PCP claim take? The time required to process a claim primarily depends on the lender's response. Claims can be categorized into two types: affordability and non-disclosed commission. Affordability PCP Claims: These are usually resolved within about 10 weeks. However, if the lender is uncooperative, it may take longer. Typically, these claims are simple and are resolved promptly. Non-Disclosed Commission Claims: These are more complex and need to be addressed differently. The resolution process for these claims can extend up to 12 months, especially if court involvement is necessary and if the lender is not quick to settle.
What are Lexports' Fees? We don’t require any upfront payments. The concept of 'no win, no fee' might seem overwhelming, but it means we insure every compensation claim so that if your case is unsuccessful, you won’t incur any costs. If your claim is successful and compensation is awarded, we will take a portion to cover our solicitors' fees which varies on a case by case basis. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? In order to speed up the claims process, please provide as much information as you can about your financial agreement. It’s always a good idea to save policy documents; by providing these, we can locate your policy within the lender’s systems. This will also help avoid requests for further information later on in the process.
What happens once my claim is settled? If your claim is successful and compensation is awarded, the total amount will be deposited into our client account. Upon receiving the funds from the defendant, we will deduct our fees. The specific fees for each claim are outlined in the agreement you signed at the start of the process. After deducting our fees, we will promptly transfer the remaining amount to your bank account.
